Dr. Reintjes is a neurosurgeon and the managing member of the Kansas City Neurosurgery Group which is a central component of the Saint Luke's Brain and Stroke Institute, a regional leader in the delivery of care for complex diseases of the central nervous system.

Dr. Reintjes has been actively involved in regional health policy, specifically, tort reform and healthcare technology.  He sits on the Missouri Stabilization Fund Feasibility Taskforce and served the state on the Missouri Governor's Healthcare Technology Taskforce.  As recent President of the Metropolitan Medical Society, he highlighted the economic impact of physician practices on the fiscal health of a region and also, the looming physician manpower shortage.

Dr. Reintjes graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Philosophy and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas. He is board certified in neurological surgery.  Steve sits on the boards of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Saint Luke's Hospital, the Midwest Transplant Network, and the Brain Injury Association.
