Strategic Initiatives: Oncology Research, Discovery and Treatment
The Greater Kansas City region and the territory running due west for some four states is not currently serviced by a Comprehensive Cancer Center that provides vital “bench to bedside” research, discovery and treatment for a wide range of patients.
With the recent recruitment of a top cancer center administrator coupled with the current research underway at several regional institutions, the Greater Kansas City region is poised to be a domestic node and collaborative partner with the National Cancer Institute.
